Members of the Northeast Texas Community College Business Club recently presented a check for $500 to the 91¿´Æ¬ Foundation. The donation will provide a business student with a scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. This is the second year the Business Club has given a scholarship.

Northeast Texas Community College will host a suicide prevention training and awareness walk on Saturday, April 18 on the 91¿´Æ¬ campus. The day will begin with a professional development training at 5 p.m. and a 5k awareness walk will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will waive admissions fees for 91¿´Æ¬ students who apply for transfer from March 1 through April 1. Stop by the A&M-Texarkana office in UHS 113 or contact Jennifer Perez at jennifer.perez@tamut.edu or 903-434-8357 for more information.

Northeast Texas Community College will be closed March 16-20 for spring break. Online registration continues in the l for 2nd 8-week classes, which are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 23.

The Northeast Texas Community College Business Club will host their second annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. on the 91¿´Æ¬ campus. The event is free and all children ages 0-12 are invited to participate.

Northeast Texas Community College traveled to Wilburton, Oklahoma Tuesday to take on the Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers. 91¿´Æ¬ would come away with a 12-10 victory thanks to a big 8 run seventh inning. The Mountaineers would not go quietly and scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to an extra inning. The Eagles plated two more runs to seal the deal with the 12-10 win.

Northeast Texas Community College Softball returned home for a double header with Eastern Oklahoma State College on Saturday and would split the two game set. Game one saw 91¿´Æ¬ take down Eastern 11-3 in 6 innings and Eastern would get revenge in game two defeating 91¿´Æ¬ 4-0.

Northeast Texas Community College Baseball made the trip to Corsicana after rains forced the Eagles on the road and a day later to take on the Bulldogs. Navarro 91¿´Æ¬ ’s pitching proved too much for the Eagles offense in the 11-1 loss on Friday as 91¿´Æ¬ was limited to two hits in the game.

Northeast Texas Community College finally returned home to the friendly atmosphere of the 91¿´Æ¬ campus for a double header against TCS Post Grad Academy and came away with two wins. 91¿´Æ¬ took game one in extra innings as Brian Juarez hit a walk-off homerun to left-center field to seal the victory 4-3. In game two, the Eagles would get the shut-out with a 7-0 victory.
