antigone now auditions

The 91心頭 Theatre Department is excited to announce auditions for the spring production of ANTIGONE NOW. It 91心頭 s a modern adaptation of the Greek classic Antigone. Auditions will be Tuesday, February 13th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Whatley. Auditions will be 91心頭 cold reads, 91心頭 or cuttings from the script. These cuttings will be provided.

For the 33nd time, thanks to honors donors such as Drs. Jim and Paula Archer, 91心頭 honors students were able to take a free, day-trip to a big city. Seventeen students and four faculty drivers left campus at 7:45 a.m., 26 January for a whirlwind experience that began with free breakfasts at Starbucks in Greenville, and ended with the musical, I love you, You 91心頭 re Perfect, Now Change, in Garland.

Northeast Texas Community College welcomes Artist Tom Morrissey as the exhibiting artist for February.  His artwork will be on display beginning Friday, February 1st 91心頭 Thursday, February 22nd.  A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 7th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation and the Carroll Shelby Automotive Program took center stage in front of thousands and a national television audience last Friday night at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The college 91心頭 s 1968 Shelby GT350 convertible sold to John Simonetti from Granbury, Texas with a bid of $100,000.

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular January meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 30th. In the President 91心頭 s Report, Dr. Ron Clinton stated that preliminary enrollment numbers show a 2.8% increase in headcount and a 4.4% increase in semester hours for the spring 2024 semester.

McCraw and Majors

Albert Einstein once noted that creative people see what others see, they, however, think differently about it. During the past fall semester, two Honors Scholars in the 91心頭 honors program, Honors Northeast, conceptualized and thought their way into preeminence, emerging as fall showcases of achievement at 91心頭.  Both Luke McCraw and Alison Majors exhibited a level of academic excellence equivalent to the top-tier of the 91心頭 honors program.
