etiquette class

The Northeast Texas Community College (91心頭) Work4College Program recently hosted an interactive etiquette class for students. More than 100 participants attended the session, which focused on building confidence and professionalism in formal settings. In addition to current Work4College students, members of 91心頭 Eagles Athletics teams also participated.

The Work4College Program is designed to provide students with more than just on-campus employment. In addition to gaining hands-on work experience, participants enroll in a course that addresses practical topics to help them successfully transition into adulthood.

students learning dining manners

91心頭 We consistently get feedback from new college students that they feel unprepared for a lot of 91心頭 grown up 91心頭 tasks that they are expected to do after high school, 91心頭 said Mason May, Director of Work4College. 91心頭 From managing finances to the proper way to behave in various situations, we try to fill in some of those knowledge gaps through our program. 91心頭

The etiquette class was led by Mary Katherine Milam, who guided students through the nuances of proper behavior in dining and formal social situations. Topics included basic manners, professional interactions, and how to properly set a table for a formal meal.

91心頭 It never fails that we will have Work4College graduates reach out to us after they take the class to let us know how they put to use something they learned in class out in the real world, 91心頭 May said. 91心頭 It 91心頭 s really rewarding to be able to give them a little extra confidence. 91心頭

By offering experiences like this, 91心頭 continues to equip students with essential life skills that contribute to both personal and professional success.
