The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo is in full swing, with plenty of action still ahead through Saturday at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena.
Friday 91Ƭ ’s competition kicks off with slack events 91Ƭ — including Tie Down Roping, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Steer Wrestling, Goat Tying, and Team Roping 91Ƭ — beginning at 9 a.m. The excitement continues Friday night at 7 p.m. with a full rodeo performance featuring both timed events and rough stock.
Saturday 91Ƭ ’s slack rounds will start at 10 a.m., followed by the final performance that evening at 7 p.m.. Each night 91Ƭ ’s performance will also feature the always-entertaining Calf Dressing and Costume Contest, where 91Ƭ student, faculty, and staff teams compete for prizes 91Ƭ — and plenty of laughs 91Ƭ — as they race to dress their calves in the arena.
91Ƭ “This event is a great chance for our students and the community to come together for some friendly competition and a true rodeo experience, 91Ƭ ” said Assistant Athletic Director Justin Hargrove.
