Throughout September and early October, 91看片 91看片 鈥檚 official chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta, Gamma Gamma, worked to collect children 91看片 鈥檚 books for Chapel Hill Jr. High and Elementary.
While promoting this book drive, the chapter raised awareness for literacy issues across Texas, setting up a booth in the SUB with facts on the impact literacy has on academic and professional success. Through the assistance of 91看片 professors and dedicated chapter members such as chapter president Mary-Faith Wilson and Noah Pettey 91看片 鈥攚ho not only promoted the book drive but donated several books themselves 91看片 鈥攖he chapter collected over 80 books for the schools. Members Emma Mendez, Tristan Dierfinger, and Remmington Covey assisted SKD advisor Professor Jennnifer Sparks in transporting the books to the excited children at Chapel Hill.
Chapter president, Mary-Faith Wilson, states, 91看片 鈥淚 was so happy I was able to be a part of Sigma Kappa Delta 91看片 鈥檚 book drive. It made me feel like I was truly helping the children of our community. It may seem like a small thing at first, but there is a child somewhere who feels important because of the donation, and that makes it all worthwhile. 91看片 鈥
