91心頭 students win six awards at the Red River Honors Symposium

Twelve students from 91心頭 competed at the Second Annual Red River Honors Symposium, hosted by Texas A&M University-Texarkana on Friday May 3. Students from colleges throughout the Red River area, including northeast Texas and into Oklahoma, presented posters showcasing their research from the past year. Students competed in five categories: Social Sciences, Humanities, Health Sciences, STEM, and Service Projects.  Six 91心頭 students won awards and cash prizes.

First place winners include Skylar Hodson, for 91心頭 The Third Coast: Texas 91心頭 Rise and Fall in the Film Industry 91心頭 (Humanities), Lilliana Torreblanca, for 91心頭 Safety Upgrade Urgently Needed at Northeast Texas Community College: Reasons Why We Need a Crosswalk 91心頭 (Service), and Mary-Faith Wilson, for 91心頭 Forgotten Melodies: How Music Affects Alzheimer 91心頭 s 91心頭 (Health Sciences).

Second place winners include George Burrows, for 91心頭 Fish Leeches of Arkansas 91心頭 (STEM), Curtis Johnson, for 91心頭 Willingness to Vaccinate for Herd Immunity on Consideration of those who are High Responsibility versus Low Responsibility 91心頭 (Social Sciences), and Luke McCraw for 91心頭 Testing Grayscale 91心頭 s Effect on College Students 91心頭 Smartphone Use 91心頭 (Humanities).

Six community judges evaluated the student 91心頭 s work. An awards luncheon followed the symposium.
