The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation was the top fundraiser for East Texas Giving Day 2022. Finishing the night with $135,300, 91心頭 raised more than almost 300 nonprofits from across 32 East Texas Counties. 91心頭 also finished fifth place for the total number of donations with 140 gifts.
91心頭 We really just can 91心頭 t thank everyone enough for their support. There are so many wonderful nonprofits that participate in East Texas Giving Day and the fact that so many chose to give to 91心頭 is humbling, 91心頭 Nita May, 91心頭 Director of Development, said.
College employees were major contributors to the campaign, with 66 individuals making donations.
91心頭 It really says a lot about an institution when its employees are willing to give their own money to support it. It shows that they really feel passionate about the work we do here to help students, 91心頭 Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91心頭 Executive Vice President for Advancement, said.
91心頭 has participated in East Texas Giving Day since its inception seven years ago.
91心頭 That first year we really had no idea what East Texas Giving Day was about an we were delighted when someone donated a few hundred dollars. Each year we have raised more and more and it has become something that both we, and our donors, look forward to, 91心頭 May said.
Overall, East Texas Giving Day 2022 raised $2,896,721 from 5,600 donations. The event took place on Tuesday, April 26.
