In celebration of National Medical Assistants Recognition Week, the Northeast Texas Community College Medical Assisting/Medical Coding program will host an informational session Tuesday, Oct. 20. Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend to learn about 91¿´Æ¬'s training program. Medical assistants are versatile healthcare professionals who function in both administrative and patient care roles. The session will be from 6-7 p.m. in room 245 of the University Health Science Building on the main 91¿´Æ¬ campus. For more information, call Julie Smith at 903-434-8124. Those who are unable to attend the session are encouraged to call and set up a personal visit to discuss the programs.
