91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its new Fast Track Firefighter Academy. The first class begins July 1 and runs through December 19. Students will meet 91¿´Æ¬ †Monday 91¿´Æ¬ †throughThursday 91¿´Æ¬ †evenings at the Central Fire Station in Mount Pleasant and alternating Saturdays. 91¿´Æ¬ â€
91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †The course of study will include 91¿´Æ¬ †Firefighter I, Firefighter II, HazMat Awareness and HazMat Operations. 91¿´Æ¬ †Students may enroll in one or all of the classes, depending on the certifications they need to complete. Firefighter 91¿´Æ¬ †I 91¿´Æ¬ †and II are $610 per course and Hazmat Awareness and HazMat Operations are $100 per course. 91¿´Æ¬ †Other program costs include PPE, uniforms, books, and physical.
