Dutch oven cooking workshop offered

The Northeast Texas Community College Agriculture Department will host a Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop Friday, Sept. 25. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Ag Pavilion 91Ƭ †(located across FM 1735 from the main 91Ƭ campus). Instructor, LuAnn Sewell Waters will take participants through the basics of Dutch oven cooking to create cobblers, main dishes, breads and other foods in a 91Ƭ †camp or backyard setting. 91Ƭ †

The workshop 91Ƭ †will include instruction, copies of the recipes participants will prepare in 91Ƭ †class, and the care and cleaning of Dutch ovens. A buffet meal of those recipes 91Ƭ †will be 91Ƭ †served as part of the class. 91Ƭ †ĠSewell Waters has more than 20 years of experience in Dutch oven and camp 91Ƭ †cooking. She has taught classes across the United States for 91Ƭ †groups including 91Ƭ †Bass Pro, Cabela's, National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Aldo 91Ƭ †Leopold Foundation, OSU and OU.

The workshop 91Ƭ †is being held as a continuing education course offered by the 91Ƭ Ag 91Ƭ †Department. Participation is limited to the first 15 paid reservations. 91Ƭ †The cost is $45 for 91Ƭ †each participant.
