The Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education Department has a full slate of classes scheduled for this fall. These non-credit courses can be 91¿´Æ¬ †taken for personal enrichment or for career training 91¿´Æ¬ †purposes. Sign up is fast and there is no lengthy application process. The Rise of Texas ? 91¿´Æ¬ †Dr. Andrew Yox takes us on a 91¿´Æ¬ †historic tour of the Lone Star State. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †Learn about the rise of Texas and how it has become the 11th largest economy of the world (if we were treated as a nation). 91¿´Æ¬ †Class meets 91¿´Æ¬ †October 13 91¿´Æ¬ †? Financial Workshop Series: Reaching Your Financial Goals - 91¿´Æ¬ †This course is a three-week workshop series on 91¿´Æ¬ †October 13, 91¿´Æ¬ †20, and 27. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †The workshop will cover these topics: 91¿´Æ¬ †Social Security Strategies; 91¿´Æ¬ †Financial Fundamentals and 91¿´Æ¬ †Preparing for Life and Retirement. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †Tuition: $30
The Professional Driving Academy 91¿´Æ¬ †? The 91¿´Æ¬ †Professional Driving Academy is a five-week program that gets you on the road to a better career in a short amount of time. New classes start the first Monday of every month and consists of 40 hours of classroom, and 160 hours of driving. 91¿´Æ¬ †Academy start dates are October 5, November 2, and December 7. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †If you need financial Assistance, limited aid may be available. Training costs may be covered by special programs if par≠ticipant meets eligibility criteria. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †Participants must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and MVR check. 91¿´Æ¬ †Tuition: $4,191

The 643-hour academy meets Monday-Thursday evenings and alter≠nate Saturdays. This course runs approximately 27 weeks. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †The Northeast Police Academy is a fully accredited academy, with accreditation through Texas Commission on Law Enforce≠ment (TCOLE). The 91¿´Æ¬ †Next academy starts October 5 91¿´Æ¬ †and ends April 11, 2016. 91¿´Æ¬ †Tuition is 91¿´Æ¬ †$1,556 91¿´Æ¬ †plus books and uniforms. 91¿´Æ¬ †91¿´Æ¬ †Limited financial aid may be available and an optional payment plan is available.

Personal Fitness Trainer Certificate ? 91¿´Æ¬ †This 15-hour course is a comprehensive, research-based program 91¿´Æ¬ †designed to provide students with all of the skills required to become a personal trainer. Participants will learn cutting-edge information about exercise science, flexibility, resistance training, 91¿´Æ¬ †nutrition, mind/body exercises and cardio workouts. Additionally, students will experience sports performance 91¿´Æ¬ †enhancement drills and program development techniques. 91¿´Æ¬ †To become a Certified Personal Trainer, you must receive a passing score on the written and practical exam 91¿´Æ¬ †following the course of study. 91¿´Æ¬ †Tuition: 91¿´Æ¬ †$130
