The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will host an artist reception Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Attendees will have the 91¿´Æ¬ †opportunity 91¿´Æ¬ †to view 91¿´Æ¬ †Refined by Fire, a display of pottery by Karen Lowrey of Longview. The artist will meet 91¿´Æ¬ †with guests, discuss her work and take questions. The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 30 and is open to the public 91¿´Æ¬ †Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
