Phi Theta Kappa students earn book scholarship

The Follett Higher Education Group Book Scholarship was recently awarded to five members of the Northeast Texas Community College Alpha Mu Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. 91¿´Æ¬ †Chris Hall, Kayleah Cumpian, Ashley Hall, Sarah Jo Fox and Tyler Reynolds (pictured) received the award. 91¿´Æ¬ † Recipients are expected to be active members of the chapter and help out with chapter activities. 91¿´Æ¬ † The scholarship consists of $250 to help cover the costs of textbooks. 91¿´Æ¬ † The chapter was awarded a total of $1,250 (which was divided evenly among the five recipients) as a result of Noah Griffin (last year?s chapter president) being recognized as a member of the All USA Community College Academic Team. 91¿´Æ¬ † Griffin was recognized as one of the top twenty community college students within the nation. Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for two-year college students. 91¿´Æ¬ â€
