The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles (91¿´Æ¬) baseball team took two of three in their series with Navarro College this past week helping to keep their playoff hopes alive. 91¿´Æ¬ † The Eagles won the first game by a score of 2-1 and 91¿´Æ¬ †dropped the second game 4-1 but fought back in the nightcap with a 9-4 victory. 91¿´Æ¬ † Although the Eagles control their own destiny they must win their last three games. 91¿´Æ¬ † Winning two of three would tie them for the last playoff spot but they would lose the tiebreaker due to their record against the team they are tied with. 91¿´Æ¬ † All three games are against Angelina at home this weekend, the same team they are fighting against for the playoffs. 91¿´Æ¬ † The first game is Friday night, May 2, at 6 p.m. followed by a double header on Saturday, May 3, beginning at 1 p.m.
