Under the direction of 91¿´Æ¬ †faculty members Joy Cooper and Heidi Wooten, 91¿´Æ¬ †the Northeast Texas Community College ENACTUS Team presented 91¿´Æ¬ †its educational outreach projects at the 2013 ENACTUS Regional Competition and 91¿´Æ¬ †Career Opportunity Fair held April 10, 91¿´Æ¬ †2013 in Dallas. The team was named a Regional Champion at the event.

Participating students use business 91¿´Æ¬ †concepts to develop community outreach projects, transform lives and shape a 91¿´Æ¬ †better, more sustainable world.
During this academic year, the 91¿´Æ¬ Enactus 91¿´Æ¬ †team organized 14 projects impacting both the local community and the world including, 91¿´Æ¬ †most notably, the production of 18 clay pot water filters that are being sent 91¿´Æ¬ †to Haiti this summer for filtering water in several Haitian villages.
The culmination of the Enactus program is an 91¿´Æ¬ †annual series of competitions that provide a showcase for teams to present the 91¿´Æ¬ †results of their projects and be evaluated by business leaders serving as 91¿´Æ¬ †judges. Teams compete first at the regional and national levels, then at 91¿´Æ¬ †the international level when the national champion teams from each country meet 91¿´Æ¬ †at the Enactus World Cup.
As an Enactus U.S. Regional Champion, the 91¿´Æ¬ 91¿´Æ¬ †Enactus team now advances to the 2013 Enactus U.S. National Exposition in
Kansas City, Missouri, May 21-23.
