91¿´Æ¬ Welder's Association to hold trailer drawing

91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ †The Northeast Texas Community College Welder's Association will hold a drawing for a 16' tandem axle angle top trailer on February 7. 2013. This trailer was built by 91¿´Æ¬ students and materials were donated by local businesses. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ †McKelvey Enterprises donated hardware, Top Hat Trailers gave metal, and McCoy's provided lumber 91¿´Æ¬ †for the construction of the trailer. Performance Trailers powder coated the completed project.


91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ †"We are grateful to the local businesses who helped us make the trailer project a reality. Their support of our welding program means a lot," Marcos Sanchez, 91¿´Æ¬ Welding Instructor, said.


91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ †The 91¿´Æ¬ Welder's Association was recently formed to help support welding students during and after their time in the welding program. The group has already begun to participate in on-campus events and community service.


91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ † 91¿´Æ¬ †Proceeds from the trailer drawing will benefit the Welder's Association to help with future events and programs. Other sponsors include: The Sign Express, Five D Cattle Co., Lowe's, The Home Depot, Toyota of Mount Pleasant, and Champion Auto Sales in Mount Pleasant.
